Too Much Catching Up to Do

So we went to California and Disneyland, IT WAS AWESOME! There is really not much more to say, so here are some pics:

The first day we went to Huntington Beach, cold-ish but so much fun, and we had the entire beach to ourselves!

First ride of the day, Astro Orbiter:

We had to of course take a picture with Mickey:

Pluto:

"It's a Small World after all, It's a Small World after all," it really gets stuck in your head, especially since Derrick and Max and Magnolia rode it twice!

At the end of a very long 14hr day. So tired, but so worth it!

Brag

There are a lot of blessings flowing around the Sheen clan these days: Master's programs, babies, new cars, spring breaks, etc.

To that list we'd like to add a few things/brag a little bit!

More details later, but we took a trip to California last week for spring break. It was so good that I absolutely DID NOT want to get back to real life. You know what I am saying. We had a beach day, did some shopping, had a Disneyland day, and spent some time with the Cushings. Delicious.

Second:

Offer: received. We need to figure some things out before we can accept, but we hope to be able to do so within the week. Depending on what we are able to figure out, we will either be in Buena Park, CA in July of this year or January of the next.

Third, and this might totally just be a scam to get $60 out of me, but yesterday during one of my classes I was brought before the whole class by a lady dressed in some fancy green robes, then asked to join the international honor society of Beta Gamma Sigma. Google it.

I didn't think this was right, but supposedly I am in the top 10% of the UVU Woodbury School of Business, so I qualify for membership in the society. What do you think? Scam? Should I join?

Picture Post

I couldn't help but post some pictures that we've taken of our gorgeous daughter:
I love this little boy I can't believe he's 3 1/2.
Magnolia has the craziest hair:

A little preview of April 29th: So exciting!
I highlighted my hair.
Hottie!
Max wanted to put something on too:
We love you guys! Sorry for the lack of posting, we are seriously busy, SERIOUSLY! Things we are looking forward to:
1. Hearing back from JCPenney, keep your fingers crossed.
2. DISNEYLAND next week, and seeing the Cushings!
3. Graduating and having family come in.
4. Derrick's 27th birthday
5. Derrick says, "Disc Golfing!"
6. Moving away from Utah and seeing what the future holds for our little family!

-Peace out!

Back to reality, my mind's driving me crazy.

Confused about the title of this post?

You should be. It's a reference to a 3 Step Brightness song. Tommy wrote it. Ask him!

As we are in our last full-time semester of school (we both have a class or two to take in the summer before we are officially finished), it has been crazy. Hence the lack of posting. Much has occured, much we are excited about, and much we want to share. Before going into detail about the most recent events (Happy birthday, Traci!), we have to pay homage to January 2011, for it, truely, was mind-blowing.

MLK weekend we were able to make an impromptu trip to Idaho. Max and Grandma put us up for the night, and, as always, they treated us with great hospitality. It was fun for Max to see his great uncle and great grandma and to play with the dogs--especially Sally!

This is kind of blurry, which is a shame.Magnolia warmed right up to uncle Max! On our way home Matt and Wendy let us drop by as well. It was SO GOOD to see them! Matt knew exactly what would make Max freak out. Farm. Toys. Chickens. Dog. Cat. And tractors!

Not sure what the technical name is for the relation here, but doesn't matter--Gavin and Braxton were super cool to allow Max to get in their business. P.s., Braxton is one big dude.We were treated to mountain bar cookies and rice krispies. TASTY.

Later in the month Max, my brother-in-law Will, and I had a guy's night out. We went to Solider Hollow to go night sledding. It was pretty cheap, cold, and way faster of a ride than I had expected. Born to sled. You might not be able to tell, but Max is making his tough guy face in this, which he did in response to me asking for his best "Born 2 Sled" pose. Also, you might not be able to tell in this, but the slopes were WAY fast. Maybe not for an adult, but for a kid, yikes. This video is from the second run down the hill. You can barely hear Max say "Hi" in response to me, which serves as evidence that he got the hang of it and had a good time. Ironically, I am pretty sure I was more freaked out than he was on the first run. I was holding his sled right next to mine, and as we got going down he asked me to hold his hand. After that, he was calm and might have even laughed. Meanwhile, I was clinging to his sled for deal life, trying to half-shriek/half-grunt, "EEEHH...IT'S....OK...WE'RE....OK....EHHHHHHH!"

My boy is a rock star.

Parking!

Parking at UVU is terrible. Derrick and I hate it. We have both searched around campus for parking for over 30 minutes before.

Here is a funny video explaining the situation:

2010 UVU Parking Classic from Ray Elder on Vimeo.

It was made by some freshman UVU students for a Digital Media project. I love it!

For Grandparents:

Some grandparents said that they wanted more pictures, so here they are:

Love you guys!

10 weeks

2 month stats:

Head Circumference 14.4 in 3.27%

Weight 10.34 lbs 30.16%

Length 23.5 in 83.99%

So she is pretty long for her age, and apparently my babies have tiny heads. Which is fine by me.
